If you only have a one hour lunch then this is definitely NOT the place for you to eat at that time. We arrived and it was busy. The place seems cramped but it appearred to be clean. We had reserved a table for noon and waited a while to get seated. When the waitress finally made it to our table we ordered drinks and our food at the same time. It took a long time just to get our drinks and a very long time for our food. It ended up being an hour and a half lunch. Most other restaurants in the area offer a quick lunch so people can get back to work in a timely fashion. This is where The Wood falls drastically short. The food was good, this I will not dispute. By burger was juicy and cooked perfectly and the salad with balsamic dressing was fresh and nice also. Unfortunately the speed of service will have to keep me away from this restaurant. Read more

I was compelled to write something. We pop into this cafe about 3 times a month.. We love that it is local, friendly, and food is always fresh. In all the times we've visited I think we've not liked one item, and although it was personal preference the cafe still let us select something else with no extra charge. Staff were very eager to make all of us happy with our meals. I couldn't believe someone said it was dirty and tired because it is far from it. It's always spotless. I'm truely shocked. I suppose that is why most people don't care about reviews. OUr family recommends this place for lunch and dinner any day of the week!!
