There aren't many places in the area where one can get fish & chips, unless they drive to Barrie and go to Fancies Fish & Chips. Blue Water Fish & Chips is a small restaurant with a tired decor. Mind you there are historical photos of boats that have travelled Georgian Bay & the Great Lakes and are interesting to look at.. We love the halibut served here. While the portion size is small it is extremely tasty, with mild tasting halibut and a golden batter. After the second or third bite you can taste & feel the grease but isn't that to be expected with deep fried fish? I've never eaten fish & chips that I haven't tasted the grease. We hate it when the restaurant is closed for vacation. We love eating here and they even have lots of newspapers and reading material for those of us that prefer to read while we're eating. All we've ever ordered has been the fish & small chips or else we'll order 2 fish and a small chip each and we never go away hungry. Read more

I’ve been eating here for 28 years. It’s the best Chinese food anywhere, the sauces don’t have that sugary thick texture. The food is real, great new dishes try the rainbow chop crystal fold, the chicken sue guy , the chicken with mixed veg and almonds and the Cantonese chow mein. Ginko was the first Japanese restaurant my boyfriend took me to before we started dating. I was quite skeptical upon first glance, since they're located by the airport and inside a hotel. Once inside and seated in a comfortable booth, and eating, my opinion of this establishment quickly changed. Not only does this restaurant make you feel like you've literally stepped into Tokyo (as evidenced by the traditional booths, decor and Japanese waitresses serving you in Yukatas), the food will surpass your expectations. My boyfriend was in charge of ordering, and he ordered us assorted sushi and sashimi on a boat. We were met with excellent service, and I must say--the quality of the fish and dining experience will have us be returning again soon. Read more

Went for lunch at Sushi Ginza due to the great ratings on here. I am glad I went. The place was not busy at all and my friend and I got a table quickly. I had the sashimi salad lunch special and my friend had the Sushi Roll lunch special. Each special came with tempera chips, 2 pieces of calamari, 2 pieces of salmon type roll, a potato croquette, and fruits. I also ordered the torpedo roll (smoke salmon, tempera shrimp, tataki tuna) which is really delicious name maybe right. The sashimi salad was really yummy. Big portion all around.
