The Beasley House has a very warm and comfortable feeling as the dinning area only seats around 30 people. The menu offers a vast array of options and will suit the need of any type of customer. Anywhere from seafood and steak to hamburgers and fries, which is really helpful when dining with a larger, different group of people. The restaurant is especially appealing to me in the summer time as I spend a lot of time on Hamilton's trendy Locke street and the Beasley House is the only one with a patio??!!! The Bean Bar is a really good low key restaurant in the Westdale neighbourhood. They provide an extensive menu with a wide variety to choose from at a reasonable price. The food is fantastic and comes in portions that are not overwhelming where you can't finish it - just perfect. I brought my parents here to see what it was like and it exceeded their expectations. I had the ham and maple cranberry wrap and it was terrific. Definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxed and mellow which is nice to have conversation. We ordered 3 takeout meals for a get together at home - $13.50 each The food was ready in 30 minutes and was waiting for me when I arrived to pick it up. I got a 10 percent discount for picking it up rather than having it delivered, so the total came to about $41. The 3 meals were well-packaged and still hot when I got them home. Everything tasted great - just the way chinese food is supposed to taste. In particular I noticed that the vegetables were crisp - they had not heated up some old ingredients. And there was more than enough for everyone My only regret is that downtown Hamilton is in such bad shape that it affects business. There were only 2 parties of about 7 people in the restauraunt when I arrived to pick up the food. The place deserves better than that. Read more
