We were in the mood for something different, a place with a patio and music but not a place where you weren't able to move or order anything without waiting in line. We made a good choice in going to Fitzrays. We all tried something different and everyone was happy with their food (apparently the veggie burger is outstanding, i am a meatalohic though so i'll take her word for that one). The staff was very attentive and got everything right, and made sure we always had a full beverage. There was some guy playing guitar - Graham something - who was very good and not too loud. We may end up going here every Friday in the summer. Read more

I get lunch at Nooners several times a week and have done so for at least 10 years (usually take-out). The food is always delicious - very fresh and homemade. Their soups and sandwiches are especially good (and the cookies....). I find the staff are always friendly, know regular customers by name (and their usual orders) and are very efficient despite the large number of people who are there for lunch every day. I do not think there is a lunch place anywhere else in London that can match Nooners for quality, speed and value. Read more

A friend gave us a couple of gift certificates for Dino's so we decided to go there for dinner. We got there around 5:30pm and were promptly seated. It was not that busy for a Monday evening. We ordered our drinks and the rib & wing combos. The combos included a choice of side ceasar or house salad or house soup. We got one of each of the salads and they were very good. The ceasar salad had real bacon bits and shredded parmasaen cheese on top. We got the house Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on the ribs & wings and it was AWESOME!!! The wings were decent sized and there was lots of meat on the ribs.... which fell right off the bone! The combo also included a small portion of veggies and choice of potato..(we got fries and sweet-potato fries). The desserts were ok.... the turtle cheese cake was a bit small but tasted good. The chocolate avalanche would have been better with brownie instead of chocolate cake. The waitress was very nice and checked on us a few times and refilled our drinks. My first visit was pleasant enough. We were greeted right away and accomodated for our party of 5. At first I was not really impressed with only the 'make your own stirfry' option for dinner but was told it was excellent. Tons of selection of meats, veggies and sauces...wasn't sure where to start! Guys at the fryer seemed to really enjoy their jobs, it was very entertaining to watch. Food was really yummy. Atmosphere was alright, didn't really notice any defectives like others are posting. Waitress was somewhat reliable in refilling our drinks. When it comes to tipping, the guys at the fryer really earn theirs however not sure about the waitresses as all they did was bring us water....nothing from the menu was ordered. The only downside to this place is the price (15.99 per person Mon-Thurs is the deal we did) but I guess for others it's an awesome price for the food. Read more

I highly recommend Rene's for anyone who enjoys fine dining but doesn't want to experience "sticker shock" when the cheque arrives. While I enjoy fine food, I don't tend to enjoy "upscale" restaurants. The staff are usually haughty, the portions wouldn't satisfy a hummingbird, and I'm supposed to be impressed just because they artistically drizzled some raspberry sauce along the side of the plate. Rene's Bistro was a very pleasant surprise! While the menu choices were creative and the food delicious, the atmosphere was bustling and friendly. If felt more like a neighborhood cafe, and there were obviously both a lot of locals and tourists there. Best of all: no sticker shock. Read more
