I have been going here off and on for 20+ years. In fact I am going tonight (March 8,2013) doing the traditional take-out. They have perfected the art of perfectly battered fish and fresh hand cut fries. You can't go wrong. Place is pretty basic, but you're not really there for atmosphere. We were in the mood for something different, a place with a patio and music but not a place where you weren't able to move or order anything without waiting in line. We made a good choice in going to Fitzrays. We all tried something different and everyone was happy with their food (apparently the veggie burger is outstanding, i am a meatalohic though so i'll take her word for that one). The staff was very attentive and got everything right, and made sure we always had a full beverage. There was some guy playing guitar - Graham something - who was very good and not too loud. I get lunch at Nooners several times a week and have done so for at least 10 years (usually take-out). The food is always delicious - very fresh and homemade. Their soups and sandwiches are especially good (and the cookies....). I find the staff are always friendly, know regular customers by name (and their usual orders) and are very efficient despite the large number of people who are there for lunch every day. I do not think there is a lunch place anywhere else in London that can match Nooners for quality, speed and value. Read more

My first visit was pleasant enough. We were greeted right away and accomodated for our party of 5. At first I was not really impressed with only the 'make your own stirfry' option for dinner but was told it was excellent. Tons of selection of meats, veggies and sauces...wasn't sure where to start! Guys at the fryer seemed to really enjoy their jobs, it was very entertaining to watch. Food was really yummy. Atmosphere was alright, didn't really notice any defectives like others are posting. Waitress was somewhat reliable in refilling our drinks. When it comes to tipping, the guys at the fryer really earn theirs however not sure about the waitresses as all they did was bring us water....nothing from the menu was ordered. The only downside to this place is the price (15.99 per person Mon-Thurs is the deal we did) but I guess for others it's an awesome price for the food. Read more
