I believe Steve was our first contact, well we were so impressed we got our fire place serviced and a BARBQUE GAS was also purchased. The bbq was assembled, delivered the gas line hooked up. Being a Vegan for only 10 months I find it almost impossible to eat anywhere! We went to the Old Newcastle House and I was advised to try the veggie stir-fry. I have to admit I was hesitant, it was fabulous!!! I love to cook so therefore find it hard to find food I can say I love in most places!!! The company I was with also really enjoyed their food a lot! I have to say being OCD I always tend to look at the surroundings and this place is a little gem it is extremely clean ( which I love ) and beautifully decorated. We frequent this little piece of culture in downtown Belleville as often as we can. The lunch menu is incredible. Where else can you get delicious sandwich/quiche/salad with soup for $10? The bread is organic and baked fresh on the premises. The service is friendly and when you ask about the food they can always tell you what you want to know. The atmosphere is lovely and when the kitchen is open like it is there is nothing to hide. The bistro is impeccably clean and it is obvious that the chef/owner takes great pride in his business. We have eaten every sandwich, quiche, and meat pie on the menu as well as every soup and salad. We are never disappointed. For dinner you have to try the chef's table that takes place twice per month. An opportunity to sit with 12 other people to enjoy the surprise chef's choice menu of starter, main, and dessert. Incredible. If you haven't gone to L'Auberge de France then make a point of going. And don't miss the fresh croissants on Saturday mornings. Read more

Omg this place is an absolute Gem! My husband , myself and my mother inlaw were on our way from New Brunswick to Ontario. During a snow storm ( March 4th 2023) the owner G was amazing! The breakfast was the best I've ever had. The coffee is so so good! The customer service and hospitality we received here will be something we all talk and rave about forever!
