Tramonto is not perfect, but they do care a lot. We have been there and had to wait for a table and then wait for food, but as far as restaurants in this little town that are really trying to make the town better this one gets a 5. Both the owner/ chef and his staff seem like a bunch of kids really passionate about food and wine and service. On a good night the food is perfect, better than many restaurants I have been to in London or Toronto, on a bad night you will wait an hour, the staff will be charming, and the food will still be great. On top of it, it seems like this is the restaurant here that really tries to be better all the time. Their wine list has gotten quite good, they change their menu seasonally, and they are very involved in the community, doing fashion shows and fundraisers and stuff. They have gotten better, they are still getting better, but don't go there if you only have half an hour. Read more

Went there last Tuesday with my sisters for a Birthday lunch. 3 had fish and chips, the best this side of the Atlantic as they claim, and The Fraser's are right, they are. One had liver and onions which are to die for. I had t he open face homemade 8 oz. burger with hand cut homemade fries. Ya gotta wait 20 minutes because it is indeed homemade but it is well worth it.
