My husband and I were recently at the Mill Cafe for lunch with a few friends from out of town. We have been local to the area, but had not been in since the restaurant was renovated. The decor was delightful and vibrant, with unique artwork covering the walls. We were pleasantly greeted by our server who encouraged us to sit wherever we pleased. The menu was fun and fresh and we found it extremely difficult to have to choose from all the delicious items. Our lunch arrived very quickly, and we were more and more pleased with every bite. IT WAS EXTRAORDINARY! We felt very welcomed by both serving and kitchen staff (as this is an open concept restaurant) and we will gladly be back again! ... and again! Read more

We rolled into Tobermory about an hour before close on a very rainy night. The owner was the only server in a moderately busy restaurant. Service was attentive despite the under-staffing (she had an ill worker), the bread obviously home made and yummy, and the salad was fresh and generous. Decor was dated (it would seriously benefit from RESTAURANT MAKEOVER) and the mene could have more healthful options, but overall it was a pleasant surprise given the limited options of the locale. This place is fabulous! We managed to get seats at the bar ( having realized that you need a reservation; plenty of other have the same idea when it comes to Sunday Brunch... ) and were treated to a culinary feast with one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The menu is short but extremely well designed with each dish a perfect harmony of exquisite flavors. My boyfriend and I shared the Salmon Benny and the BLT, both were mouth wateringly amazing. I would highly recommend anyone who likes brunch to take the trip to Eugenia and visit the Flying Chestnut, it is well worth the drive! Read more
