The Capilano Suspension Bridge is great family fun. The central part of this attraction is of course the bridge itself. 80 metres above the Capilano River it is often gut-check time to head out on the bridge and take a look over the side as it sways with the other visitors or, worse, the breeze. There isn't much to worry about but it is an exhilarating experience nonetheless. Beyond the bridge there is another equally exhilarating experience in the Treetops Adventure. Picture being high above the forest floor and going from tree to tree on a series of suspension bridges and getting to rest on platforms attached to the trees. Very cool. They have a great gift shop and lots of opportunities to learn about the history of the bridge and the first nations history in the area. A great deal for local residents too is that you can buy an unlimited membership good for a year for the same price as regular admission. Read more

It is part of the west 10th 'community', a rapidly disappearing concept in the once lovely Vancouver. The Shoppers drug mart is west Vancouver's park royal mall is my favorite shoppers of them all. They have the most friendly and helpful customer care. I was recently helped by a very friendly woman who worked in the cosmetic department named Tina, who not only gave me her undivided attention, she answered all my questions about make-up and showed me demonstrations by applying the make-up on me, when I hadn't even bought a thing yet. She also showed me the sales, instead of shoving the most expensive products in my shopping basket and bankrupting me like typical beautician. I left a very happy customer, and now thats the place I'll go when I have questions about cosmetics! Read more
