My boyfriend and I often go here because it's the only Dim Sum we know that uses carts in Mississauga. We particularly like it as they seem to have a much wider selection (e.g. crab claws, suckling pig) than normal restaurants which serve Dim sum.
In terms of quality, I don't think they are best. I have had much better quality of food at other restaurants. Also, even though the selection is vast... What happened to the shui mai? How do you have crab claws and not shui mai?!?! (Edit: Found out you need to order the shui mai... I did and it was not good at all)
I noticed the cart ladies seem to be a bit more strange than at other restaurants... Some will FLY past you, others will scream food names right at you. It is kind of fun for me and my boyfriend to laugh about. (I should note we are both Chinese and both have gone to various restaurants for Dim Sum, and we notice the cart ladies here are particularly strange)
What I found particularly interesting is how many non-Chinese people eat here. I think it's the only Dim sum place I have seen to have such a variety of people here.
I should note that this place gets amazingly busy around noon. My boyfriend and I tend to go around 10:30 or 11 and usually find a seat quickly. If you come at 12 (especially looking for a larger table) you are doomed! haha
So to sum it up:
-Amazing and sometimes unique selection... except that the shui mai has disappeared!
-Decent food quality but not the best. E.g. The shrimp in the ha gow tastes fishy, the dough fritter in the chun fun is soggy sometimes, the spare ribs in the black bean spare ribs w/rice are so boney ahhh!
-Strange cart ladies lol. Sometimes rude, sometimes friendly
-Get there before 12 if you don't like waiting! It's actually more normal to eat Dim sum earlier in the day anyway :).
Also, it seems one reviewer on here stated that the adults and kids are noisy. This is normal for a Chinese restaurant, especially as one as big as Emerald.

I was very surprised how good the food is, had the dinner for 4(a)
Not salty, the chicken balls where pretty much all chicken!!!!! The veg was crispy and cooked well! Only thing greasy( a lil was the wontons) but everything was way better than expected! If it was this good on NYE, I’ll Definitely be eating there again!!!!

I’ve been coming here since they first opened.I have noticed changes in the food portions.Twice now I have ordered #140 Malaysian Seafood Laksa Rice Noodle Soup in extra-large.It is disappointing.The actual bowl itself is large enough to serve four people.The noodle portion can fill a small coffee mug, the entire bowl is just soup, or seasoned broth. Family owned and serving the community since 1993....the only place that can display on their menu; NO-MSG. I always drive there for the pick-up special prices. This place is awesome!!! The restaurant is small but cozy. There was only 1 woman running the show up front and it got quite crowded by late afternoon, but I was impressed by her level of service.
We had the mango salad which was bursting with flavor and very originally put together. Even my wife agreed it was deserving of 5 stars. I also love the fresh (not fried) spring rolls w/ peanut sauce.
Pad thai came next and that was good as well.
Finally, we had chicken Panag curry which was served with a side of rice. Also a winner.

To be honest, I don't think I have anything really negative to say about this restaurant. We visited for lunch on a Sunday, and were the first people in the restaurant. As a party of seven, we were seated at an assembled table right by the bar near the front of the restaurant.
From what I can recall, we ordered the Manchurian Chicken, Chili Chicken (dry), mixed vegetables, butter chicken, and chicken chow mein - looking back, yes that was a lot of chicken - and it was all rather delicious.
