We have gone to this restaurant over a dozen times and always are pleased with our meal. For the price, you really can't beat it. The atmosphere is very nice. It's a big restaurant and the tables are spaced apart nicely so you can have a conversation without worrying about everyone around you hearing. And they have great big circular booths that are usually available - a great touch. We have our regular server - I believe his name is Pavel - and he's fantastic. He's not pushy, he's unobtrusive and always friendly. One of the city's best waiters for sure. When it comes to the food, the taste is great. I usually enjoy a pasta as a main and for appetizers we mix it up. The selection is great and I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy. The prices are fantastic. For a downtown Toronto restaurant like this I'm always amazed when I get the bill. Often times we have two appetizers, two entrees and a full bottle of wine and the bill still comes to under $100. We came here in a rush with tickets to a show. The servers were understanding and did everything in their power to accommodate. They were wonderful! The entrees were delicious - nice solid, fresh ingredients and very nice flavour profiles. The stewed lamb with the tagliatelle was perfectly cooked. The tortellone with the ricotta, pecorino and the radicchio was just perfect...satisfying and memorable. As for the dessert, we both agree with another review on this board that this quite possibly could be the best tiramisu in the city. Overall, great service, great entrees, and an epic dessert. Most of all, the wait staff were helpful in helping us meet our showtime. Great place that we would visit again in a heartbeat! Read more
