Rude Staff Bad Fo...

Rude Staff Bad Food and Management that doesn't care! Stay away! Go elsewhere for a good time! Want a BAD time, then go here! The Red Piano is a JOKE and needs to be shut down - don't go!

Alligator Popcorn

I've recently expanded my culinary cuisine from boring vegetarianism (what was I thinking?) to include pizza, seafood, and now alligator! The Red Piano is a total experience from the ambiance to the knowledgeable staff to the duelling pianos... I felt like I could actually be in New Orleans! I even expected someone to hand me beads but of course that didn't happen :D It's such a classy place and a wonderful date night for my and my boyfriend. I ordered the Alligator Popcorn to start which was tender, crunchy and super flavourful!! Lots of spices, lots of yummy taste! My entree was the Crab Mac & Cheese which paired quite nicely with the wine I was having. I almost passed on dessert but what fun would that have been?! So I shared the Junkfood Platter with my boyfriend and we ended up taking most of it home to the kids because there was SO much dessert! What a truly perfect evening for us! We will totally be back!

Great!

We went to the Red Piano for our anniversary. It was very quiet, being a weeknight. The service was attentive without being pushy, the food was wonderful, different than your regular steak place. Lots of choices. I liked the music being played, apparently they have live music sometimes, but this was very low key and nice. Begniers (sp?) aka little square doughnuts were AWESOME!!

Edmonton mojitos with major moxie

Edmonton mojitos with major moxie

The menu lists the mojitos under the “Mash ups” and what could be more accurate? For what is a mojito if not a mashing up of simple ingredients into something spectacular and refreshing? The Red Piano mojito swirls together fresh muddled kiwi, Malibu rum, soda, simple syrup and lime in a glass with a mint candied rim. The kiwi and lime flavours are so good apart but so much better together. For something a little different, try the Blueberry Hill mojito.
