I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit!
And the patio? Don't get me started......

i have been going to aris since 1974 and i still go there.the food is great!!...the prices are more then fair for what you order.the owner's are very freindly,and the waitress's are fast and freindly.the atomosphere is very warm,and you feel more then at home there.i stop in for a great cup of coffee everyday,and a great meal and a cold one at least twice or more per week...i look forward to going there when i can...superb food!!!!super owner's!!!!!super staff!!!

We enjoyed a tasty steak with garlic mash and ceasar salad on the side, chicken wings as a starter and had a lovely chocolates brownie with ice cream, cream and chocolate sauce for desert, excellent and very reasonably priced for downtown Toronto. Our waiter Moose was full of energy and very friendly and happy to help with our food choices, lovely meal, would absolutely recommend.

After reading some excellent reviews, I decided to bring my husband here for his birthday dinner. Most of what we had were new to us but very tasty. I've always wanted to try jamon iberico and we were able to get our first taste of the famed iberico and it was indeed fantastic! Although the dishes were small, we were pretty full by the end of our meal and the overall experience was very good.
