More I shop at Massine and more I appreciate non only the conveniency and quality of the store.Staff always seem to be focussed on providing a great service. Not sure why I see bad reviews, I have been going there for 20 years, and always gotten great service. (What I do see is cranky customers who give the staff a hard time when they put in the corona rules)
This is a family run business, they even have a picture of the late father on the wall. This is heartwarming to see, as I still remember him rearranging the little cucumbers all day long.
Their food selection is very, very good, and the spices are 1/10 the price of the large competing stores!

My thanks to the staff in the deli department who looked after us in such kindness today. We had a tragic death in our extended family last night and needed to bring food to the family. We called around on a Sunday to find that most needed 48 hours notice to put a sandwich tray together. We called independent and were advised that 24 hours notice would normally be required. When I explained our situation staff put together an order in two hours and treated us with such kind attention to our need
