The menu is not extensive and there was no overall 'theme' but the food we had was pretty good. They recommended a great wine and the waitress was excellent - both friendly and helpful.
We booked at the last minute and were glad we did. Not a fine dining experience if that is what you want but a comfortable experience. We split a salad and the entree portions were a good size. My husband had a Thai noodle type dish and he really enjoyed it. I had the prime rib which came as I requested. We didn't have dessert but marvelled at a couple of plates that went by.

This is a quaint little inn hidden in the woods besides a rushing Ontario river. Gourmet food and excellent service. True sense of history is evident in the little touches like former mill machinery used as furnishings and decorations througout.

We moved to Paris a year ago and this is our favorite restaurant!!! I had a surprise party for my husband and the staff were amazing!!! Easily the best place to eat north of London Ontario. We go on vacation every year to Bayfield and stop by for a meal on the way up and on the way back. I've been to Harry's on multiple occasions with different groups of people. Have been pleasantly suprised each time with great food and excellent service. The pizza is homemade and very tasty. Wings are good, but not their specialty. Pasta is excellent is as well. Beer on tap is fresh (usually have Stella) and haven't had any issues. This is a great place to visit for lunch, after work with the guys (they have pool tables upstairs) or on a date with that special girl. A rare treat!

I highly recommend Rene's for anyone who enjoys fine dining but doesn't want to experience "sticker shock" when the cheque arrives.
While I enjoy fine food, I don't tend to enjoy "upscale" restaurants. The staff are usually haughty, the portions wouldn't satisfy a hummingbird, and I'm supposed to be impressed just because they artistically drizzled some raspberry sauce along the side of the plate.
Rene's Bistro was a very pleasant surprise! While the menu choices were creative and the food delicious, the atmosphere was bustling and friendly. If felt more like a neighborhood cafe, and there were obviously both a lot of locals and tourists there.
Best of all: no sticker shock.

Excellent fish and chips dinner! I had halibut and chips with tartar sauce, creamy coleslaw and pasta salad on the side. The servings were very generous. My piece of fish was huge and I had lots of tartar sauce to go with it. I didn't run out. I love the fries. They are just like the ones that my mom used to make. Both the coleslaw and the pasta salad are delicious. Also ... the delivery person was very friendly and polite! I would recommend Annie's to everyone! ?❤
