Whenever visiting my dad in Kingston, we go to this place for Sunday breakfast every time. He goes most Sundays and I know why. The wait staff is friendly, fast and efficient. The food is plentiful, served hot and there is a non-stop filling up of coffee! Prices are very reasonable for the portions. Be warned! This is a VERY popular place, so expect a delay when you get there because a lot of people are regulars and they too have to wait. Been a few years since we were at Raxx and were pleasantly surprised this week. Nice renovations make the place look brighter than before and lots of options for seating, pool tables, bar area, TVs, etc. Food was surprisingly good, particularly the chicken wings that were well cooked, perfectly sauced and quite meaty. This was not a Wednesday night so not sure if the wing quality is better/worse/same on the night that wings are discounted. It was a pleasure to have the option of blue cheese dip with real chunks of cheese in it. Wish more places served this with their wings and/or pizza! :) The salad was a huge serving and very fresh ingredients. The grilled chicken was finely shredded and nicely flavoured. I eat a lot of chicken and salad and this was a surprisingly good one. Red wine vinaigrette was a nice option too. Service was a bit slow for refilling drinks and for bringing out the food considering the place was practically empty but the order came exactly as requested including a couple of customizations to the salad. The menu is straightforward and not too complicated nor too many items. Could use a fewer lower-fat items but realistically I wouldn't expect to find much of that on a sports bar menu so not a big deal. We were quite surprised at the food quality and would come back. One of the times I was there I was standing in line and some lady was saying she had been waiting an hour. I had walk in behind them and she told the server that she was waiting for over an hour.
