I'm not sure what these other people are talking about because I think this place is amazing. They have three locations now, and as a loyal customer, I have visited all of them. Each atmosphere is a little different, the most recent addition at Yonge/Eglinton (Piazzetta #3) is the nicest. More importantly, the food is consistently amazing, not to mention inexpensive. My guests and I have never been disappointed. The pastas are always fresh and the pizzas are always perfectly thin and remind me so much of my trip to Italy. My favourites are the Calamari, Penne Primavera and Arugala Salad. But I also love the funghi pizza (which ALWAYS has lots of mushrooms). My partner loves the grilled salmon and veal chop entrees. We come here to celebrate our one year anniversary and only because they have $1 oysters after 5pm. We figured we would have a 5 or 6 dozen and then head out to a lite dinner and some dancing. We never left Biffs. From the amazing service to having the evening manager come over to talk to us, everything here was wonderful. We ended up eating 8 dozen oysters, a bottle of champagne andtwo bottles of wine as well as the Scotch Eggs, Oh me oh my the scotch eggs here are to die for and you will not regret ordering them. We stayed for 5 hours enjoying thre ambience and each others talks. At the end of the night ( we closed the restaurant ) they brought us a complimentry dessert with happy anniversary wriiten in chocolate on it. Nice touch! The real buffalo mozzarella in the caprese is a nice change and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Ambiance was nice and relaxed, not overly noisy. Waiters are very nice and attentive. Even a snowstorm doesn't keep Toronto diners down, as we discovered last weekend at Jump in January. It was quieter than usual due to the weather, but our food was very good. We had an extremely affable waiter from England. The service started out a bit slow, with water poured and wine ordered but 25 minutes before some bread arrived. If we hadn't been so hungry beforehand we might not have noticed. Otherwise, the food was excellent. The Bacon-Wrapped Boneless Quail appetizer was absolutely delicious. The Wild & Tame Mushroom Soup was good, but as we told our server, it needed some cream to give it more depth and round out the taste. The Mahogany-Glazed Black Cod with Lentils was very good, and my partner had the delicious Beef Tenderloin. We'll come back again, but the pacing is a bit slow, so you can't be in a hurry if you're dining here. Read more
