Groceries are not cheap, but every week I like to buy my groceries at Indenpendent, their staff , especially the butcher, he is so funny and friendly, the cleaness and I can always find what I need plus I can get my wine under the same roof

More I shop at Massine and more I appreciate non only the conveniency and quality of the store.Staff always seem to be focussed on providing a great service. I wish I am like Goj (employee at the Deli) calm, professional and amiable. Management is generous and accessible and they really listen as if you are very important to them and they respond to any questions. Not sure why I see bad reviews, I have been going there for 20 years, and always gotten great service. (What I do see is cranky customers who give the staff a hard time when they put in the corona rules)
This is a family run business, they even have a picture of the late father on the wall. This is heartwarming to see, as I still remember him rearranging the little cucumbers all day long.
Their food selection is very, very good, and the spices are 1/10 the price of the large competing stores!
