Not my typical kind of bar. Here for a work party. Was ready to finish up my last (full) beer when the bottom of the cup completely fell off as I went to take my first sip.
The Manager was extremely gracious and refunded my entire entre (27 dollars), and 3 beers. Obviously I’m happy about the freeness, being soaked sucked, but service like that is how you keep returning customers. Great attitude towards the whole thing. Very kind staff.Read more

It was my first time being at Cactus Club West on Broadway & Granville. My experience there was phenomenal! Not only was the food delicious, our server Emma F definitely made the night for us and she will be someone we won’t forget! It was a super busy night and she made everyone feel exceptionally welcomed and comforted. Every restaurant needs more servers like herself!

I'm at Melriches at least 3 times a week, sometimes 5, depending if I wake up early enough and have time. I love this place, and have been going here for the last 6 years.
The coffee is from Bean around the World and is delicious, the atmosphere is great, the music is always interesting, and the food! Everything is made fresh, and the muffins are incredible. People don't realize they can make full breakfasts in that little kitchen area, but they do!
The owners are sweethearts and the baristas are always laid back and friendly. The place can get a little cramped at times, but it's because everyone and their dogs go there. They have a patio in the back which is great for dog owners, and they have a community board with all sorts of postings. They showcase art from local artists, and sometimes even have open mics!
All in all, love this place, and you will too.Read more

This place has a line-up every Saturday and Sunday morning and there is a good reason why. What a fantastic little eatery for a casual bite. Fantastic selection of nibblies and an even better selection of beers from around the world. A definite must for anyone looking to chill out in a funky downtown spot. Expect to wait on busy nights, I've been there twice now and each time had to wait 10 minutes for a table but the wait is worth every second...not to mention that they will bring you your first drink order to sip while you wait for a table to come free.Read more
I had the Hunter Chicken which was so tender I didn`t need a knife to eat it. My wife had the halibut tacos which she enjoyed tremendously.
The service was exceptional.
We also LOVED the fact that they were kid friendly in providing my little girl with an ``etch a scetch`to play with.

The Prospect Point Cafe is located just beside one of the most spectacular views in Vancouver. Get a seat where you can enjoy the view while you eat or trek down to the lookout point to get your fill of the view before or after you get your fill of the great food on offer. This is definitely a tourist restaurant but i think the locals should come here more often becuase they offer a great selection of mains, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and beer-battered fish and chips. They also serve brunch on the weekends! Go for the view and stay for the food at the Prospect Point Cafe!Read more

My friend took me here for dinner on Thursday. We weren't too hungry so we had some appetizers instead... I had the tuna (excellent with the zesty sauce) and my friend had the poke. The girls who work at this place are quite visually appealing and I was amused that my friend was able to keep his eyes on me. It can be a little distracting when you're trying to eat ;-) The place was packed, which I guess is a testament to it's quality and presentation.Read more

Kym is absolutely amazing, I would recommend her to anyone as she is so caring and goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience. I moved to Surrey 2 years ago and just couldn't find any restaurant that served good old fashion home cooked greasy spoon diner fare. I spotted Round-Up Cafe on a drive by and decided to pull over and try it out. They refurbished the chairs to a fabulous sparkly silver. It is cozy and comfy and very clean and the owners are extremely friendly. I ordered a soup for my toddler and a special for myself. I was surprised the special came with a soup and a desert which was nice for $12. Coffee is $2.10 and they only charge once and are excellent with refills. Food was 'just like grandma used to make' very tasty. Soup was a bit to peppery for my taste buds. My main was excellent but if you don't want gravy, you need to order it on the side or they pour it on. Coffee was excellent. My son loved the vanilla pudding - another unexpected surprise. The restaurant was packed at lunch on a weekday. This is a restaurant I would recommend Grandad to visit. Nice old fashion 1940s diner feel with good home cooking.Read more

We had the crab cakes and a salad to start and we both so enjoyed the sabelfish entree. It was one of the best sablelfish fish I have ever had, it was so moist and served overall in a healthy manner. We went to the Dutch Wooden Shoe Cafe for the first time this morning, and will definitely be going back. It's got a very cool, homemade style of decor inside, and that just adds to the charm - photos all over the walls of past diners, a huge collection of beer glasses and mugs from around the world, and lots of posters of Holland and the like. It's certainly not boring!
The server was a dream, too - genuinely friendly and happy to be there, and did an amazing job, especially considering the place was half-full and he was on his own. Coffee came fast and often, and he checked up on us three times over the course of the meal (not counting the initial food delivery and the bill drop-off).
The food itself was excellent - great quality, lots of flavour. I had one of the eggs 'n ' hash combos and my other half had the apple and cheese pannekoek - we'll definitely be going back to sample other items on the expansive menu.
Overall, we're extremely pleased with our experience, and will definitely return.Read more
