The guys took it apart to have a look and when they determined it was the motor bearings they recommended against repairs, saying it would not be worth it. They said to just use it as long as it still worked or until it died. They didnt charge me a dime. 4 months later the vacuum stopped screeching on its own and is still working more than a year later.
