Not only the best breakfast in the area, but the best value. (Especially if you are a senior.) 2 good sized eggs, 4 strips of bacon, texas toast and home-fires not frozen cubes. I get a side of hot peppers and coffee. For two of us .... just over $11.00 with tax!! (If you aren't a senior it would come to around $12.50) Never had a problem with any of the waitresses. Food is cooked properly. Atmosphere is the usual R&R diner that plays a good selection of 50's & '60's music. You can go a few blocks away and pay $16 for a lot less! I visited Swiss Chalet with low expectations. My four year old son was excited about the toys they offered so we went for a quick dinner. I was pleasently surprised. We sat with a young waitress who I unfortunatly also held low expectations for. At such a young age I doubted that she knew much...however she provided us with better service than we had recieved in a chain..maybe ever. She brought our meals promptly, was attentive, we didnt need to ask for refills, and when my son spilt on himself, she cleaned it all up and even stopped his crying. The food wasn't great, but as long as you have service like that, I would be back anytime. Read more
