I work in customer service, so I understand that things don't always go as planned. It is how an establishment deals with their mistakes that really shows how good they are , in my humble opinion. We go to Swiss Chalet all the time, the food is always hot and delicious and up to the Swiss Chalet Standard, the service is usually pretty good, quick for sure and the restaurant smells good and is clean. We often order take out from this location, and we have had a few problems, orders not being filled correctly, no gravy for the poutine, little things like that. One time we ordered and they called back 30 minutes later to tell us there was a snow storm and the delivery person went home! Needless to say I complained. I got a personal response from the Manager appologizing for our bad experience and comping us for two 1/4 chicken dinners! WOW, I thought that was just great. I get that mistakes are made, but I have never had anyone take responsibility and compensate me so quickly and politely! Since then we have ordered a few times and we haven't had anymore problems. I can't find the Waterloo location on this site but this review is about my experience there. Went on a Wednesday with girlfriends for drinks and nibbles in the bar. I've been here twice already. I ordered the Wimpy's combo (hamburger) and the Chicken BLT sandwich. Great portion for the price. The hamburger was decent, juicy and fresh off the grill. Fries weren't that great. They tasted stale and very "saw dusty". Their Chicken BLT was terrible. the chicken was dry and tasteless. The bacon that was in my sandwich were overcooked. It had a "paper" texture to it. It took some manpower to actually chew this sandwich down. I came here for lunch a few times and tried a different sauce each time. I personally prefer the Buffalo style wings, if that's what your looking for then this is not the place. It is what it is and for what it is it is good. The wings were consistantly a good size, crispy, fresh tasting and juicy. No complaints there. Of the three sauces I tried I think the medium was best. They have tons of sauces though so there's lots there to explore.
