Seriously, best restaurant i have been to! Donatello on Elm in Toronto - the service was sooo good - made very special by our knowlwedgable server! The food - sublime! I highly recommend it! Jenna, our server, made the experience so enjoyable! We had a retirement dinner last night. We were provided with a wonderful description of the menu. A lot of laughs. Jenna has a level 3 Sommelier course, if you are interested in Wine. She’s Greek, so loves lamb! But watch out, she’s pretty witty having a Bachelor degree Psychology. I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit! And the patio? I have been to Lousiana last Summer and left with a bad experiance and thought of not going back again.. since all my friends forced me to go i went with them really I felt the difference comparing to my last vist.. its been newly renovated and a beautiful patio to relax and have a beer to chill out with friends. Staff really friendly and they have variety of food menu to decide on. They have a plate called land and sea which comes with lobster, Steak and shrimps which really value for money and good quality i was really impressed with the servise provided and i spoke to the Manager of Lousiana he told me how this was earlier and the new management is really working on with food quiality and provide great customer service... I will definelty go to Louisiana again and do recommand to my friends... WELL DONE LOUISIANA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! Read more

We have been here two times for dinner. The atmosphere is good, but a bit tight space to sit. The service is great and fast. The portions were big and the deal it, that you get a complementary delicious set of eggplant dips with bread. The food we had was very tasty and good. I don't recall the menus we had, but I recall that we liked it. All in all a pretty good food with the nice idea of the free appetizers. Always good to just hop in for a good spontaneous dinner.
