Their coffee is very good and the bacon pieces are large, thick, and never undercooked rubbery or overcooked burnt. Portions for all meals are generous and prices are reasonable. We were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for a table to clear, it was packed! We celebrated my birthday last Sunday and I was craving their Herb Feta Omelette, with a side of Cherry Pink Bacon, which in my opinion is the BEST brand to buy, and cooked to my perfection. Our drinks came out fast, coffee was fresh and always available but what I appreciated most was all our food came out at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their order and we all devoured the Banana Walnut Pancakes. I've been to fine dining and can't stand when my portion is the size of my palm and our food is not served at the same time. The Egg and I is a wonderful, fun Family Breakfast restaurant in Hamilton. My husband and I both ordered the ham and eggs breakfast, which came with toast, jam, and home fries. The ham wasn't greasy, the scrambled eggs were "real ", and the home fries were piping hot. Kudos to the cook in the kitchen. The coffee was hot, but too strong for my tastes. Charlene, our server, made sure our cups were topped up and that we were satisfied with our meal.
