Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Read more

Today was my first visit to Hockey Sushi. I was more than impressed! The service was FAST, and they food was amazing. So much variety. The concept of this buffet so so unique, but it makes so much sense! Everyone can get what they want, with little to now waste, and no contamination from other guests. This place actually has two names, Yee's and 'Al's Pizza'. I haven't really ordered any of the Chinese food before, but here's the secret - PIZZA ROLLS!!! They are like egg rolls but instead they're full of whatever pizza toppings you want. They ask you what you want in them and make them right there in front of you. They are to dieeee for I love them, and they are SO cheap only like $2.25. I've never come across anything like this at any other restaurant, so it keeps me coming back. Al is such a nice guy too, so friendly and always remembers my face.
