If you’re unaware of B.C. and the Lower Mainland’s obsession with craft beer, it’s likely you’re living under a rock. Here at YP, we’ve contributed to that obsession – we’ve written a lot about beer, and by that, I mean a lot. So, we thought we’d round up all our awesome Vancouver beer content in one ultimate guide. Cheers! [Photo courtesy of Tourism Vancouver/The Nickersons Photography]

The ultimate guide to Vancouver’s craft beer scene

The good stuff
First things first, an ode to the folks who make all the beer – the breweries. Vancouver proper has 23 craft breweries, concentrated along Main Street and in East Van (affectionately known as “Yeast Van”) around Commercial and Hastings. We’ve interviewed many of these breweries – 13, to be exact (with more interviews to come) – about why they decided to get into the beer-making biz. Click on your favourite to find out more. Fun fact: one of these businesses started after two brothers began brewing beer in their Vancouver home. [Map created by Jennifer Foden at mapcustomizer.com]

A 🍕 indicates the brewery has a kitchen and serves food; a 🍷 indicates the brewery also serves wine or cider in their tap room.
